🚨 One of the Bay Area’s most popular family regions is quietly changing.
When people think of places like Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore…
They usually think:
✅ good schools
✅ safer neighborhoods
✅ newer homes
✅ great for families
And to be fair, that’s still true.
But here’s the part many people aren’t talking about:
Affordability pressure is spreading everywhere in the Bay Area, even into places many assumed were insulated.
Livermore reportedly saw homelessness rise 24%, with increases across the Tri-Valley.
The bigger conversation here isn’t just homelessness.
It’s:
What happens when even middle-class workers can’t afford to live near the communities they support?
Think:
🍽️ restaurant workers
🏫 school staff
🛍️ retail employees
🚑 essential workers
Many work in places like Downtown Pleasanton or Dublin…
But often can’t afford to live nearby.
And that changes cities over time.
The real question:
Do suburbs like Dublin and Pleasanton stay protected long term… or slowly start changing too?
