My heart was not prepared for this key day 🔑🤍

Some of the most meaningful moments in real estate have nothing to do with houses—they’re about the stories, relationships, and generations that grow within them.

One of the greatest gifts of this career is watching families grow and evolve through the years.

Many years ago, we helped a wonderful couple purchase their first condo—before they were married and before they became parents to their beautiful little girl. Today, that little girl is growing up, and the family is beginning an exciting new chapter together.

They’re moving into their dream ranch. This was a family decision to create multigenerational living—grandparents, parents, brother and granddaughter together under one address. At the same time, we have Mom and Dad’s home in escrow to make this incredibly thoughtful purchase possible. We’re selling the very first home Mom and Dad purchased as a newly married couple, the home they raised their children in, the first home they’ve ever sold.

As someone who believes that learning doesn’t only happen in a classroom, I love what this move represents. A multigenerational home creates endless opportunities for children to learn from the wisdom, stories, traditions, and life experiences of those who came before them. Some of life’s most meaningful lessons are passed down around the dinner table, during everyday conversations, and through simply doing life together.

Helping families create spaces where those connections can flourish is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. What a privilege it is to be part of their journey—from first homes to dream homes, and from one generation to the next. I can’t think of a more deserving family.

It also makes me reflect on the homes that have shaped my own life. What lessons, traditions, or memories have been passed down in your family? I’d love to hear your story in the comments.

That first home. It’s a big decision, one that can often lead to uncertainty, nervousness and buyers remorse. But I’ll tell you, with the right information and guidance, joy will find you.

I can confirm the rumors are true.

Big dreams deserve people who believe in them early. 🤍
I can’t wait to give out our entrepreneurial scholarship to some very deserving high school students.

I negotiate for a living, so of course I bargained in China Town, NY to get these AirPods for $30. If you ever need me in your corner I got you. 😁

So many names in one lifetime with each syllable holding a different meaning. I think Momma was my favorite 😂 You?

Remember when being on the phone meant stretching the cord into another room for privacy?

Back then, being on the phone felt different.

You’d twirl the cord around your finger and hope nobody picked up the other line.

Now our phones hold everything:
work, calendars, group chats, school updates, photos, reminders…

And somehow we’re more connected than ever — while also feeling completely overstimulated.

The middle years are a little like that too.

So much information.
So many responsibilities.
So many people needing something from you.

Sometimes the real luxury isn’t more productivity.

It’s peace.
Slower mornings.
A home that feels manageable.
Conversations that don’t feel rushed.

Funny how the things we thought were inconvenient back then… now feel kind of comforting.

What nobody tells you about navigating life.

Somewhere along the way, you became the responsible one… and that’s okay.

I probably shouldn’t be telling you this… but this almost didn’t happen.

This long-time family home had a few major hurdles that could’ve completely stopped the sale.

But we found a way through it—and got it to the finish line.

If you’re thinking about selling, there are a few things you really want to avoid.

Have you ever run into something unexpected in a deal?
