I'm lucky enough to have grown up in the transition times between modern tech and "old school". In the late 1900's you got to experience things you don't see everyday. This car is packed full of things from a different era, like drum brakes.

If you've never driven a car without Anti Lock Brakes (ABS) bringing a car to a (safe) stop is a totally different experience.

A while back I started to live my life with this phrase in mind "Do it for the story".

Realizing that I had held back on so many great adventures for reasons that didn't make sense looking back. So many opportunities come up in our lives to meet new people, experience new things, find new passions...but we hold back.

This car and the chapter that has me in it is an extension of "doing it for the story". Its been a wild ride so far but I've learned, I've met new people, I've seen strangers light up when they see the car, and most importantly, I've got a story to tell.

So, if you're like me, and have some opportunities you regret missing out on. Remember, "Do it for the story." and keep your mind open to what may come.

Forty years in a barn there was definitely a "Funk" in the car when it arrived. I didn't connect the dots that the 20 Benson & Hedges cigarette butts in the ashtrays were a hint that the car was a smokers car. Cleaning the interior proved to be quite the adventure.

Its like playing a weird game of "How much will that cost?" when you find a new thing to repair on an old car. Could be $5 could be $5000, you never know until you find one...in stock...and not wildly out of your price range.
