My journey started in 1980.

Born and raised in a single family home on a canal in Sarasota, watching my dad catch snook from the dock,taking cruises on the Labarge with my family, roller skating bday parties at Stardust, field trips on the Carefree Learner boat, walking to Siesta Beach from school.

I’ve witnessed a great deal of change since those days.

Sarasota continues to evolve and outperform many cities throughout FL.

It’s one of the top FL destinations for snow birds.

But for me, it’s always been “home” 🥰

I’m not a transplant that stumbled upon a news article of best places to visit.

Like Jason Aldean sang “We laid a lotta memories down, like tattoo’s on this town”

5 reasons I love living in Sarasota.

1. Sunrises and sunsets are like paintings from God. Especially after a summer rain storm. Most people miss this detail because it’s August.

2. I always feel safe even when walking alone. Safety is important. Having a safe environment and A-rated schools means families can thrive here.

3. There’s never an option for being bored. Both indoor and outdoor activities year round. Personal faves are horseback riding, paddle boarding, gun range, bird watching at Celery Fields, deep-sea fishing, and indoor go-cart racing.

4. There’s never a lack of dining options. It’s not small town America. The restaurant culture is extremely diverse here and food is my love language.

5. Opportunities to connect. This is a very friendly place to live. Either you’re here on vacation or you made your vacation home. Few of us are native but we are happy to help you find your way.
