Wreno co-founder Charlotte Jingwei Schell was recently interviewed by Business Insider to discuss the $5 million in seed funding we recently raised, and how our new property tech platform is helping an underserved and overlooked segment of American workers and businesses.

Wreno is a proptech platform that aims to bridge the divide between tradespeople who help build homes and institutional real-estate companies.

Wreno is incredibly excited to announce that we’ve raised $5 million in seed funding led by Lerer Hippeau, with participation from Fifth Wall, Owl Ventures, and NFX, among others. The round’s angel participation also includes senior management from top single-family home institutions, as well as founders such as Vikas Choudhary from Porter, and Alexey Dubov and Sam Ruben from Mighty Buildings. This brings us to a total of $6.1 million raised to date. We’re looking forward to working with this amazing team as we grow our platform and help connect underemployed gig workers with in-demand trades training.
