The condo market is pretty flat right now, and with the seasonal slowdown, the timing created a rare window for my buyer.

Inventory is holding steady and days-on-market are stretching just enough to give buyers a little breathing room, which is something we don’t always get in the Seattle area.

We’d been watching the market closely, waiting for that moment when the right home lined up with the right conditions. And it did. We found a beautiful Burien condo that checked the boxes and moved quickly. I’m so happy to share that we are now pending at a truly strong value.

I met this buyer last spring at an open house. He and his wife are moving here to be closer to grandchildren. Even though we looked at condos all around Ballard, they kept coming back to this building.

Last week, I received an inside tip that this was coming on to market, so I gave these clients a call. We laid out the terms and prepared an offer, ready to go as soon as the listing went live.

This is a very special sale. I met these buyers over two years ago at an open house. They LOVE their rental (both living experience and price) and have been reluctant to make the move to home ownership.

I kept in contact, giving them market updates, and letting them know that I am here waiting for when they feel ready.

So... this summer they started to take the idea of home purchasing more seriously and begun to look at some houses.

Even though they weren’t initially looking in Ballard, they loved this house. We met there twice to check it out and I encouraged them to walk down to the Ave for dinner. After two weeks, I got the call. Let’s write up the offer!
