💔 Today, the Smoky Mountains lost a piece of their heart.

It’s difficult to put into words what Dolly Parton has meant to this little corner of Tennessee.

She shared her music with the world, but she never forgot where she came from. She invested in her home, created opportunities for generations of families, brought millions of visitors to the Smokies, put books into the hands of children, and showed the world just how special East Tennessee really is.

For those of us fortunate enough to own a little place here and welcome guests to these mountains, we know that so much of what makes this area what it is today carries Dolly’s fingerprints.

She was more than a country music legend.

She was a neighbor. A dreamer. A giver. And one of the Smoky Mountains’ greatest ambassadors.

From all of us at Still-A-Beat, thank you, Dolly, for loving these mountains—and for helping the rest of the world fall in love with them too. ❤️

The Smokies will never quite be the same.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. Your song will always echo through these mountains. 🦋🏔️

🐻 WELL… APPARENTLY WORD GOT OUT! 🐻🐻🐻🐻

Not long ago, we were excited to share that after months of owning Still-A-Beat, we FINALLY had our very first bear visitor.

Apparently he went back and left us a 5 star review!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😂

Because this time, Momma showed up… and brought THREE cubs with her! 🥹🐾

Four bears at once, right outside the cabin! We may officially have to retire the “we never see bears at Still-A-Beat” line. 😂

Just another little reminder that even though Still-A-Beat is minutes from all the fun of Pigeon Forge, you’re still tucked away in the beautiful Smoky Mountains — where you never know who might stop by for a visit. 🐻🏔️

🐻 WELL… LOOK WHO FINALLY SHOWED UP! 🏔️

We’ve owned Still-A-Beat since mid-May, and our Ring camera has caught plenty of deer wandering through—but not ONE bear.

Until now. 👀🐻😳

Apparently this guy heard there was a new place in Pigeon Forge and decided to swing by for an inspection. 😂

The verdict?

🦌 Deer approved.
🐻 Bear inspected.
❤️ Still-A-Beat ready.

Just another reminder that even though we’re minutes from Dollywood and all the fun of Pigeon Forge, you’re still right here in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

And yes… we’ll be checking the Ring camera a little more often now. 🎥🐻
