In this election cycle, Bedford County voters must keep conservative traits top-of-mind when going to vote for a more prosperous Bedford County, Tennessee.

The following list of candidates stick out in my mind to vote for, tomorrow, if you have not already voted.

NON-PAC Money Candidates (✅):
• Mayor – Troy Thompson
• Sheriff – John Sweeney
• District 1 – Eric Maddox
• District 2 – Ben Chapman, Michael Gregory
• District 3 – Jeremy Henderson
• District 4 – Anita Epperson, Diane Neeley
• District 5 – Brent Smith
• District 7 – Brian Brenton, Keith Davis
• District 9 – Biff Farrar

Now, while there are very few notable PACs that are honorable for candidates to receive money from in the State of Tennessee and across America, the “Better Bedford PAC” is not one of them in my opinion. I heavily deem this PAC special-interest.

Regarding the next list of candidates…

In good faith, I do not believe all of the candidates listed below ran in bad faith specifically to take money from the “Better Bedford PAC” with a cooperative understanding “if you scratch my back, then I will scratch yours”, if so elected. I do believe there is a degree of naiveté with a few candidates who took the offered PAC money from the “Better Bedford PAC.”

Of the candidates that took PAC money, which I will not specify, I can see them taking the money in the pursuit of winning, and then favoring the hand that helped them (my inclined/observational opinion).

I emphasize to you, Bedford County, Tennessee, voters, NOT to vote for special-interest PAC-money candidates. This is a crucial election cycle for the future of Bedford County, and I do not mean politically. With this election cycle, Bedford County has a chance at real prosperity.

And I do not mean in the form of overwhelming, early morning or mid-afternoon, rush hour growth. However, a much richer sense of living where you are at.

This election starts the groundwork to keep jobs local, attract good business, expand job growth, attract more tourism, keep money in-county, expand our community services (EMS and Law Enforcement), cultivate higher education standards, and to be a leading example, county, across all Tennessee. All of this is possible with the right voting.

With that said, I ask that you pass up and NOT vote for the below-listed candidates.

PAC Money Candidates (🚫):
• Mayor – Curt Cobb
• Sheriff – Nikia Elliott
• District 1 – Jared Featherstone
• District 2 – Roy Turner
• District 3 – Alex Mitchell
• District 4 – Matthew Gragg
• District 5 – Brian Bruce
• District 6 – David Deason, Jennifer Templeton

Note: This post is of my opinion, and is not a personal attack towards any of the candidates that agreed to receive PAC money from the “Better Bedford PAC”. Understandably, many of the PAC Money Candidates are upstanding members of the community from what I have heard, witnessed and experienced. However, when money comes into play it’s hard for some, more than others, to shy away.

Furthermore, govern your emotions, feelings and perceptions accordingly if they happen to arise from reading this group post.
