Century City and Studio City may be close, but they attract very different lifestyles.

I’m David Hitt, a 30 year Los Angeles REALTOR® helping people all over LA buy, sell, lease, and navigate real estate decisions. Here’s something that surprises a lot of people: two of LA’s most desirable neighborhoods can offer completely different lifestyles, even though they’re only a short drive apart.

Century City is all about convenience—luxury towers, walkability, concierge services, and easy access to Beverly Hills, the Westside, and major business centers.

Studio City feels more residential and relaxed, with great restaurants, coffee shops, and a calmer pace.

I’ve seen many successful people move toward Studio City over time—not because it’s better, but because priorities change.

Luxury in Los Angeles is becoming less about image and more about quality of life.

So if you had to choose…

Century City or Studio City?

Comment CENTURY or STUDIO.

I’m outside Ten Thousand in Century City right now. I’m David Hitt, a 30 year Los Angeles REALTOR® helping people all over LA buy, sell, lease, and navigate real estate decisions. As I said, I’m outside The Ten Thousand luxury apartment building in Century City.
And here’s what surprised me.

This building is reportedly about 98 percent occupied, and many units are rented before the current resident even moves out.

Think about that.

People are committing to leases before they even see the exact unit.

Why?

Because they’re not just renting an apartment.

They’re paying for convenience, service, privacy, and flexibility.

And many of the people living here could absolutely buy a home.

They’re choosing a lifestyle.

Honestly, I think luxury living in Los Angeles is shifting from owning more to making life easier.

Would you choose a luxury tower like this or a quieter lifestyle in Studio City or Sherman Oaks?

Comment TOWER or VALLEY.

Everybody thinks luxury in LA means giant mansions…

but honestly?

This is what a lot of people actually want.

Modern West Hollywood living.
Private. Walkable. Livable.

Over 1,700 square feet.
Two bedroom suites.
And moments from the Sunset Strip.

Open tomorrow
1 PM to 4 PM

Comment WEST HOLLYWOOD for details.

This is what just under $1.1 million bought my clients in Camarillo.

And this one was competitive.

There were six offers…

including a cash offer with a 14-day escrow.

But my clients stayed strategic, we structured the offer carefully, and we won the house.

This was actually the second transaction I’ve closed with these clients…

which always means a lot.

And honestly?

For buyers looking for more space, quieter neighborhoods, and a different pace than LA…

Camarillo is becoming a very interesting option.

A lot of buyers are starting to look outside LA for exactly this reason.

There’s a reason more executives are choosing the Valley over Beverly Hills right now… and it’s not just price. I’m David Hitt, a 30 year San Fernando Valley REALTOR® helping people all over Los Angeles buy, sell, lease, and navigate real estate decisions.

I’ll say something that would have sounded crazy 15 years ago.

A lot of affluent renters and executives actually prefer parts of the Valley over Beverly Hills now.

Not all of it.
Specific pockets.

Sherman Oaks.
Studio City.
Certain parts of Encino.
Calabasas.

Because luxury today is not just status.
It is peace.
Space.
Privacy.
Parking.
Trees.
Being able to breathe.

A lot of people relocating to Los Angeles think Beverly Hills is automatically the answer until they actually live here.

Then they realize the Valley gives them something Beverly Hills often cannot.

Ease.

Especially if they work in entertainment or need access to multiple parts of Los Angeles without feeling trapped in traffic all day.

And quietly… a lot of people with real money are choosing lifestyle over flash.

If you are relocating to Los Angeles and trying to figure out where affluent locals actually want to live, comment VALLEY and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Some of the wealthiest people I know in Los Angeles are renters… and honestly, most people completely misunderstand why.

I’m David Hitt, a 30 year San Fernando Valley REALTOR® helping people all over Los Angeles buy, sell, lease, and navigate real estate decisions.

One thing people outside Los Angeles do not understand is this:

Some of the wealthiest people in this city rent by choice.

Not because they cannot buy.
Because they value flexibility.

Especially in entertainment, tech, finance, and executive circles.

A lot of affluent renters are optimizing lifestyle first.
School district today.
Closer commute tomorrow.
Privacy next year.
Different relationship.
Different season of life.

And in Los Angeles, lifestyle is everything.

I have clients paying significant rent in places like Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Beverly Hills, and Calabasas because they want optionality without being tied down emotionally or financially.

Honestly, renting luxury in LA is not always a stepping stone.
Sometimes it is the strategy.

And the people judging it usually are not living the same reality.

If you are trying to decide whether renting or buying makes more sense for your life in Los Angeles, comment MOVE and I’ll help you think through it intelligently.

Most people confuse these two Sherman Oaks neighborhoods…

but Magnolia Woods and Hidden Woods…

feel very different when you actually live there.

Magnolia Woods…

Sepulveda to Kester… Burbank down to Magnolia…

this is classic Sherman Oaks.

Tree-lined streets…

strong neighborhood feel…

people walk here…

they stay here.

Now Hidden Woods…

Fulton to Coldwater… Riverside up to Chandler…

completely different energy.

More tucked away…

more private…

and honestly…

more in the spotlight than people realize.
And here’s the truth…

Magnolia Woods feels more connected.

Hidden Woods feels more exclusive.

Same Sherman Oaks…

completely different lifestyle.

Comment OAKS
and I’ll help you figure out which one actually fits you.

Most buyers are sleeping on Winnetka right now

And that could be a mistake

Because while people are overlooking this area…

Billions of dollars are being poured into the Westfield Topanga and Promenade redevelopment nearby by Rams owner Stan Kroenke

Let me explain

This isn’t some small update

We’re talking major transformation… restaurants, retail, entertainment, offices, housing, nightlife

And 7020 Oakdale is less than ten minutes away

So while buyers are focused on what this area looks like today…

Smart buyers may be paying attention to what it could become

Because once major growth happens…

Prices usually don’t stay a secret forever

Now obviously no one can promise future appreciation

But this is exactly how people miss opportunity

They wait until everyone else already sees it

Location isn’t just about where a home sits today

It’s about what may be happening around it tomorrow

If you want the full breakdown on why this location may matter more than people realize… comment OAKDALE
