Earth day is coming up and it's a day dedicated to demonstrating the support of environmental protection ๐
I know the whole topic of climate change and environmental impact is a little bit of a touchy conversation, so I'll stay hushed about my two cents ๐ค even though I'm 99.99% sure it's not the cows to blame
There are some great tips to becoming more eco-friendly in your home in the article below, however I did want to add some that cost zero money (because I'm on a budget here):
1. If there is light outside, the indoor lights are off. This one is honestly a pet peeve to me, no lights are on inside during the daytime at our house.
2. Fix dripping faucets. Okay so this one might cost a little to buy a part, but a quick YouTube search can teach you how to fix it yourself. Running faucets not only waste water, but also tick your water bill on the up and up
3. Minimize use of plastic/paper goods. After ditching Ziploc bags a couple years ago, it is mind boggling just how much of our waste was plastic bags and paper plates. 10/10 recommend switching to glass storage containers if it's in the cards for you.
I'm a tree hugger, I take pride in this statement. While Earth day is a great way to take time to really focus in on trying to take care of our one planet we have, I believe it would be more beneficial to make small changes for the better and practice them every single day. ๐ฒ
Love our planet, love each other. We're all in this together. โฎ๏ธ
