We finally have an answer from Space Force on what they’ll be doing right here in our backyard at Fort Huachuca. Their new mission is called Space Domain Awareness – tracking satellites and other objects in Earth’s orbit so we know what’s out there, where it is, and what it’s doing.

This might sound like “science fiction,” but it’s actually the foundation for everyday life and military operations. GPS on our phones, secure communications, ATMs, gas pumps, and early warning systems for our troops all depend on space-based technology. None of that works if we don’t understand the space domain, and that’s exactly the mission Fort Huachuca is taking on: helping build the picture of everything happening in Earth’s orbit so Space Force can keep those systems reliable and secure.

For Sierra Vista and Cochise County, this means long-term investment, high-skill jobs, and stronger ties to Arizona’s growing space industry and the University of Arizona’s research community. It also opens up new STEM and career pathways for our kids—right here in a town that’s already deeply rooted in service and technology.

As an Army veteran and local Realtor, I’m excited to see this future-focused mission land in our community and to keep serving the soldiers, Space Force Guardians, and families who call Sierra Vista home.

A new mission is coming to Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, and it’ll involve the U.S. Space Force. The Defense Department announced the site this spring.

If my feed’s been a little quiet, it’s not because nothing’s happening… it’s because a lot has been happening. Over the last couple months we:

- Wrapped up another coach‑pitch softball season with the kids
- Coordinated our Diamondbacks Military Appreciation Night at the ballpark for the Warrior Healing Center
- Planning the Stand Up 4 Freedom Street Fair (next one is June 27th)
- Hosted the Braids with Dad for girl dads (next one is on June 19th)
- Snuck away for a San Diego trip—Camp Pendleton, SeaWorld, and some much‑needed beach time

And while life and community have been full, real estate has been busy too:
- 1 listing went under contract in one day and already closed
- 3 buyers just closed on their homes
- 2 more buyers are currently in escrow
A few more are in the pipeline getting ready to make their move

On top of that, I’ve got these active listings right now:
- 23+ acres in Three Canyons in Hereford listed at $70,000
- A budget‑friendly 3 bed, 2 bath home in Golden Acres at $130,000
- A 3 bed, 3 bath Reflections Valiente home on Horner in town at $320,000
- A 1930s adobe ranch on almost 5 acres in Double Adobe at $375,000

So yes, I’m still very much in the game; showing homes, writing offers, and helping families make moves while staying plugged into this community.

Spend Memorial Day weekend at the ballpark with a purpose. 🇺🇸⚾️

On Sunday, May 24 at 1:10 PM, Warrior Healing Center is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Night during the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Military Appreciation Weekend as they take on the Colorado Rockies at Chase Field.

If we sell enough tickets through our special link, our volunteers, who serve our veterans all year long, will be recognized on the field before the national anthem as we head into Memorial Day, honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
