🌿 Tips to Keep Your Home Mold-Free! 🌿

Moisture is the #1 cause of mold—so the best way to protect your home is by controlling where that moisture comes from. Here are a few simple things you can do:

✔️ Keep indoor humidity below 50%
✔️ Run bathroom fans during showers + 20 minutes after
✔️ Fix leaks quickly and correctly(roof, plumbing, windows)
✔️ Use a dehumidifier in damp areas
✔️ Make sure gutters drain away from your home
✔️ Improve airflow—don’t push furniture tight against walls
✔️ Check attics, crawlspaces, and basements after heavy rain
✔️ Clean up spills and wet areas promptly
✔️ Maintain your HVAC System annually
✔️ Clean Smart by dusting and washing bedding & fabrics regularly.

We personally had mold growing behind our drywall for months.. maybe years.

Our house was clean and beautiful with zero visible mold. I couldn't understand why I was having so many symptoms.. I had POTS, red eyes, food intolerances, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety, dizziness, trouble focusing, and the list goes on. I saw so many doctors that kept dismissing me.

Finally, I saw a practitioner that took a more holistic approach, and told me I had a lot of symptoms that sounded like mold toxicity. I assured him I wasn't around mold and there was none in our home,. After some testing, my mold levels were off the charts!

The hunt then began to figure out where mold could be hiding.. we ended up uncovering way more than we ever could have imagined!

Just because your home doesn't have visible mold, doesn't mean it isn't there and affecting your home and your families health. -During our inspections we have many ways to try and find hidden mold.

We get this question a lot: “Is it mold or just mildew?”

It doesn’t really matter.. Both could be harmful to your health and your homes air quality. Mildew is basically just another word for a type of mold.
