This week, my buyer client and good friend closed on her home in New Bern… a 1945 cottage with so much history and character.
This was her first time buying a home, and as a single mom relocating to the area, it meant more than just a change of address. It was a testament of independence, empowerment, and new beginnings.
However, this deal tested us. About a week before closing, things got complicated and it almost fell apart. But it didn’t… because everyone involved showed up, communicated, and stayed committed to finding solutions. That kind of teamwork is never guaranteed, and I don’t take it lightly when it happens.
I’m especially grateful to everyone who leaned in when it mattered most and helped make the finish line possible. This closing was a reminder of why relationships matter so much in this work. And how, even when different sides are being represented, we all have the same common goal.
I’m incredibly proud of my client and honored she trusted me to walk through this process with her. Helping someone buy their first home is always special, and this one really was.
I couldn’t be happier or more excited for this beautiful woman to begin her next chapter 🤍🏡 🥂
