🤔 Got a DIY project in mind?
✨ Be sure to plan for everything before you start. Here’s why!
1. Your Experience Level
Doing things yourself will most likely save you money… if you know what you’re doing, that is. Take for instance: remodeling your bathroom.
2. The Timeline
Many homeowners underestimate the amount of time it will take to complete a project. Because you’re not an expert, it’s probably going to take you longer than you think, even if everything goes smoothly.
3. The Tools
Many home improvement projects require special tools to complete. You have several options when it comes to acquiring the tools you need for your project, so figure out ahead of time where you’ll get them, so you don’t waste time running around town for them.
4. Make A-List
As you plan for your DIY project, make a list of the supplies you’ll need, and make one trip to the home improvement store. The more things you can purchase before you start, the more time and money you’ll save yourself by not having to make multiple trips to the store.
5. Enlist The Help Of Friends Or Family
If your DIY project is something you can do on your schedule and not an emergency, try to get family and/or friends to help. This is especially good if said family and friends have special skills in the area of your DIY project.
