Avista Price Increases | What Spokane & Coeur d’Alene Homeowners Need to Know

📈 Big news for your next energy bill. Avista Utilities has filed a multi-year rate plan with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission that, if approved, will drive higher electric and natural gas costs for homeowners in Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and across Eastern Washington. 

👉 Starting in 2027, Avista is proposing:
• ⚡ Electric rates up ~13.9% in 2027, with additional year-over-year increases through 2030 — projected to push a typical monthly electric bill from about $124 to nearly $158 by 2030. 
• 🔥 Natural gas rates increasing about 5% in 2027 and rising modestly each year after — raising an average bill from roughly $91 to ~$100 by 2030.
