Lauffer Home Inspections of Spokane and North Idaho

Lauffer Home Inspections of Spokane and North Idaho Experienced and Trusted Certified Master Inspector since 2013. Serving the Greater Spokane area, Eastern WA, North ID, and all places in between.

My name is Doug Lauffer, and I am the owner and operator of Lauffer Home Inspections. I am a Certified Master Inspector with over 4,000 inspections and 13 years of experience. While I grew up on a ranch in North Central Montana, I spent most of my life in the Spokane area and have a deep appreciation for the Inland Northwest. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Education, Health, and Coaching, and spent over 10 years as a teacher and 20 years as a coach. My passion for building relationships and educating others has proven invaluable in my career as a home inspector. My business is built on core values of integrity, respect, professionalism, and accountability. I prioritize building strong connections with both clients and agents, as I believe this is a business focused on people not property. At Lauffer Home Inspections, our mission is to provide the highest quality inspection in Spokane and North Idaho area. We combine our extensive experience with modern technology and a commitment to ongoing education to deliver detailed, comprehensive, and user-friendly reports that support our customers throughout the home- buying process.

A real estate agent of mine thought it would be fun to share this video. I was testing a bathroom in the basement. Hot water would not turn on to the sink.... until I turned on the shower.

While I enjoy inspecting residential homes, I want to focus my business on rural properties as I can make a greatest impact with my business.
I charge $550 for the four hours draw down test; there is an additional $75 fee if there is a holding tank/cistron. The Spokane County water quality test is $175 (coliforms and nitrates). The Tri-Couty test is $350 (coliforms, nitrates, arsenic, lead, and uranium). Although I have not done many, I can also perform the PFAS test for $525.

Had a little helper at work today while doing a rural property. He kept interrupting me and asking questions.

When doing a home inspection and you see this, you know something interesting is about to happen. Picture #2 is inside the attic. Left the pictures of the raccoon s**t out.
