Being a landlord can be a great investment.

But after 10, 20, or 30 years, it can also become a lot.

Repairs. Turnovers. Tenant calls. Deferred maintenance. Another project you really don’t feel like taking on.

And when you finally decide you’re ready to be done, “just sell it” isn’t always that simple.

There may be taxes to consider, tenants you don’t want to displace, properties that need work, or monthly income you’re not ready to give up.

That’s where Easy Landlord Exit comes in.

We work with landlords throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho to explore different ways to exit — from a straightforward as-is purchase to seller financing and other flexible options.

No pressure. No obligation. You don’t need to clean it up or remodel it first.

If you’ve been thinking about selling a rental — now or sometime down the road — we’re always happy to have a conversation.

Thinking about selling your rentals... but not today?

That's actually where most conversations begin.

After years of managing rentals, many landlords start wondering what life might look like with fewer properties—or none at all. The important thing is you don't have to make that decision overnight.

There are often more options than people realize, and understanding them early can make all the difference.

Whether you ultimately keep your rentals, pass them on to family, sell traditionally, or explore a creative solution, I'm always happy to share what I've learned.

No pressure. No sales pitch. Just one landlord talking with another.

Thinking about selling your rentals... but not ready yet?

Most landlords don't decide overnight.

It's usually:
• "After this tenant..."
• "After this remodel..."
• "After interest rates come down..."

Before you know it, years have gone by.

Whether you ultimately keep your rentals, sell traditionally, or explore a more creative option, understanding your choices early can make all the difference.

If this sounds familiar, I'd be happy to have a conversation. No pressure. No obligation. Just another landlord willing to help.

A few weeks ago I shared something I'd been noticing after talking with a lot of long-term landlords.

The conversations kept coming back to the same idea.

It usually isn't one bad tenant.

One repair.

One vacancy.

It's years of carrying the responsibility.

That's what this carousel is about.

Have you ever reached the point where you just wanted life to be a little simpler?

Most landlords don't sell because of one bad tenant.

Or one repair.

Or one vacancy.

After talking with landlords throughout Eastern Washington, I've noticed something different:

The 500th problem feels different than the first.

I wrote a short article about it here:

https://easylandlordexit.com/why-landlords-sell-rental-properties/

I'm curious:

What was the moment that made you start looking at your rentals differently?

Most landlords don't sell because of one problem. Years of repairs, vacancies, and responsibility eventually add up.

Been having a lot of conversations with landlords lately.

One thing that's surprised me is that many aren't dealing with terrible tenants, losing money, or facing some major crisis.

They're just tired.

After enough years, rentals can become a constant background task in your life. There's always something to think about, fix, manage, or worry about.

Curious if any other long-term landlords have felt this way.

Why I Started Easy Landlord Exit

I'm a landlord too.

Over the years I've dealt with tenant issues, repairs, regulations, and all the ups and downs that come with owning rental property.

I've also met many landlords who eventually reach a point where they start asking:

"What's my next chapter?"

Some want to retire. Some want less stress. Some want to simplify. Others just want to understand their options before making a decision.

That's why I started Easy Landlord Exit.

My goal isn't to pressure anyone into selling. It's to help landlords understand the different paths available—whether that's a traditional sale, a cash offer, seller financing, or another creative solution.

If you're a landlord in Eastern Washington or Northern Idaho and you're thinking about what's next, I'd be happy to have a conversation.

No pressure. Just options.

A lot of longtime Washington landlords are quietly reevaluating things.

Over the last couple years, I’ve noticed more rental owners asking themselves questions like:

• Do I still want the responsibility?
• Do I want to manage rentals into retirement?
• Do I want all my money tied up here long term?
• What do the next 10 years look like?

Some people are staying.
Some are downsizing.
Some are simplifying.
Some are considering leaving Washington entirely.

Regardless of politics or opinions, it definitely feels like many owners are taking a harder look at what they want the next chapter of life to look like.

That doesn’t always mean selling immediately.

But it does mean people are thinking more seriously about options.
