In this article, I learned that 64% of Americans are okay with a recession if it means cheaper mortgages, but there's a twist...

There aren't enough homes up for sale; the head economist at the National Association of Realtors said, "The market could take on double the number of houses." Because there's not much available, house prices will likely stay high. The forecast? At least a 2.6% bump in prices in 2024. Sure, lower mortgage rates could bring in more buyers, but a recession might also mean job cuts, making it even tougher for people to buy a home.
