5 things no one warns you about before moving to Springfield MO:

1. We have all 4 seasons (sometimes in the same day)
2. Most people are STL cardinals fans (sorry KC Royals)
3. There are a lot of churches here (like a lot...)
4. People will say don't go north of Sunshine, but that's an outdated belief. You must experience Commercial Street.
5. Cashew chicken is the official food of the city.

This was a 3 night stay with I think 5 adults and FOUR dogs 🐕. I usually have a 2 dog limit but apparently 2 of them were service dogs. and if I'm being honest I didn't really care.

this was a VRBO booking which I feel like something is always a little off? I don't know why I just get that vibe from VRBO, I think it's their platform.

anyways the only weird thing in this one is they told me they ran out of shampoo & conditioner on day 1 and asked for more. I just leave out a sample round & it's the first time someone has asked for more.

They left the house clean and in good shape so these guests get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I first started I had no idea that Airbnb had an algorithm. Now that I know better I make sure to do these things EVERY DAY.

1. Update pricing. I either use the pricing tool or just manually adjust pricing on a few days. Even if it's just a small variance.

2. Update my listing text. I could change some wording in my description, change up my title or change a photo caption.

3. Switch up my main photo. I usually just go back and forth between 2 different pictures.

These small things have helped me stay on page 1 and maximize my views.

Sometimes the simple basics are the best way to go.

Something I have learned is that things break and you need to be able to quickly replace things. Even though cute patterned plates and glasses are fun, if they break sometimes it can be impossible to replace.

So I buy very generic, easily replaceable items that get a lot of use.

Also check that everything is microwave friendly!
