Today, In the other part of my life, I was able to truly enjoy a very solid "Return On Investment" as I took part in the Special Olympics of Missouri Law Enforcement Torch Run's Award Ceremony and kickoff for next year. I met great new friends who smile and give big hugs. If you can't handle unsolicited hugs, this isn't the place for you.

I knew Mike before he was a police officer. I'd been on the job a couple of years ahead of him. I remember the day he excitedly told me that he had been hired, and was getting ready to go to the academy. Mike and I shared the love of helping others. May his memory always be honored.
