Credit readiness is an important part of the home buying process. However, we're all human and sometimes we have some unlucky situations.
If you have ever had to file bankruptcy, there is a waiting period before you can get approved for a mortgage loan. Typically, the waiting period is 24 months. There are some cases where it is only 12 months, and there are some cases where it can be up to 5 years.

Happy Monday!

One of the biggest hurdles I run into with my buyer clients is issues with credit. Being able to get approved for a mortgage or the amount of mortgage that you would like is paramount in the home buying process.
Some have not so great credit because they weren't taught how it works and they are just learning by trial and error as they go through life. Which is ok!
Some have little to no credit established because they are or were never taught about the importance of credit. Which is ok!
But I think every parent strives to put their children in a better position than they were in. Adding your children as authorized users to your accounts, AND HANDLING THEM PROPERLY is a good way to help them build and establish credit early.
Here are a few cards that could help set them up for success!
