A long overdue Congratulations to my good friend Aric on selling this stunning Ucity Rehab! When I tell you everything that could go wrong on this deal DID go wrong, I mean EVERYTHING. It's not what happens to you, but rather how you respond. I couldn't be more proud or frankly shocked at how he continued to keep a positive attitude in spite of roadblocks at every turn. When it seemed that only problems were in sight, he always kept his head high and found a solution. Sometimes the only way forward is to go "through" it. Congrats again Aric and to the new owners of this beautiful Ucity home!

This one has a really cool story behind it! Lisa grew up in this house in South City her grandfather bought this house in 1977 for $20,000! She inherited the house after he passed away and completely remodeled it. Not just a quick coat of paint and countertops, I'm talking about a full gut rehab with high end finishes (it was her first flip-- so impressive!). When we got offers on the house, one offer was from a young couple that grew up in the small town of Aviston (Less than 2,000 people!). Turns out Lisa's grandfather was originally from Aviston too!
There were lots of other little signs along the way that it was meant to be including the number "7" which kept on showing up throughout Lisa and Doug's time with the home all the way up to the day of closing. The kids left a sweet message for the new homeowners on closing day wishing the new owners a happy closing day.
These are the kinds of stories that make me love my job so much. It's not just showing houses and helping people navigate paperwork... I love learning people's unique life stories and getting to be a small part of their experiences. #777
