Your clients say they can't afford a house.

Then you watch them drop $950/month on a car payment.

And somehow there's always money for the $8,000 vacation they booked on a credit card.

But a mortgage? "Too expensive."

Here's what nobody wants to admit: It's not about the money.

It's never been about the money.

It's about priorities masked as problems.

The same people crying about housing costs just financed a truck that depreciates $15,000 the second they drive it off the lot.

They'll drop $38,000 on a wedding (lasts one day) but won't invest $30,000 in a down payment (30 years of equity).

They'll rent for $2,400/month and call it "freedom" while their landlord uses that rent to pay a $1,800 mortgage.

They're literally buying someone else's house and calling themselves smart for "not being tied down."

The math isn't the problem. The mindset is.

And here's the part that should p**s you off as an agent:

You're the one who gets blamed for "predatory lending" or "pushing people into debt" when you're literally trying to help them stop lighting their money on fire.

You walk them through forced savings via equity.

You explain that their rent goes up 4% every year while their mortgage payment stays the same for 30 years.

And they STILL say "I'll wait."

Meanwhile, they just booked a Disney cruise for $12k they don't have.

You know what's really unaffordable?

Waiting.

That house they're "not ready for" will cost them $50,000 more in two years.

The rent they're paying instead of buying will cost them $28,800 this year alone with zero equity to show for it.

The "financial responsibility" of renting is costing them generational wealth.

But hey, at least their F-150 looks good in the driveway of a place they'll never own.

The real estate market doesn't have an affordability crisis. It has a priority crisis.
