ng areas. I work with both Sellers and Buyers. The real estate market is a constantly-changing entity. Particularly over the past few years, it has not only become more sophisticated... but significantly more challenging! If you are contemplating a move, it's crucial that you hire a Realtor who not only makes an effort to stay abreast of the current market, but is also master at the newest technology to keep you ahead of the game. Being Mom to these two souls has been the greatest joy of my life. “Proud Boy Mom” will forever and always sit at the very top of my résumé. ❤️

I’m usually someone who keeps my eyes forward, excited for whatever funventure comes next. But Motherhood with these two? That’s the one season of my life that I would rewind and relive in a heartbeat.

Wishing all of my fellow Moms a weekend filled with appreciation and love. Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow, friends!

While I was not born a U City girl, my mother was. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the University City, Missouri lions, and the area’s gorgeous early 19th century architecture.

In the late 1800’s, the area that is now University City, was primarily farm land. In 1902, Edward Gardner Lewis purchased 85 acres just northwest of the 1904 World’s Fair Forest Park construction site. He was the publisher of the Womans’ Magazine and the Woman’s Farm Journal, which had outgrown two locations in downtown .

The 85-acre area would be the headquarters for the Lewis Publishing Company, as well the site for a “high-class residential district.” Lewis broke ground on the headquarters of his magazine in 1903.
That building is now City Hall, and it is guarded by lions that serve as historic symbols of grandeur, strength, and protection.

The City of University City was formally incorporated in September 1906 and Lewis became the first mayor. The city’s name reflected the community’s proximity to Washington University, and Lewis’ hope that it would become a center of learning and culture.

Today this 1873 cutie, just 3 walking blocks from Main Street, closed escrow and my Seller bid farewell to the perfect starter home to begin a new chapter. I had the pleasure of helping (soon to be 💍) Mrs. Seller purchase this gem only five years ago, and was thrilled with the incredible competitive turnaround that we accomplished. $50,000 in value equity in five years. YES, YES, YES! That is a first time purchase done right. Woohoo! Team South Fourth- thank you so much for your friendship and trust. It was an absolute pleasure from day one and I’m so lucky to have been chosen to represent this one. Congratulations and happy closing day, friends! 💞

Just for fun: I stand by the fact that pretty food always tastes better. The icing on the cake? When the bulk of it comes out of your garden. Taking advantage of our spring harvest of lettuce, spinach, dill, strawberries, and edible pansies today. No filter, just a squeeze of lemon, a dash of EVOO, and a sunny spot on the deck. ☀️

Just for fun: what happens when you sprinkle lettuce seeds in a container on your deck and give it water and sunlight for a few weeks? You have a living organic salad bowl right outside of your kitchen!

Wowsers- this was one popular lady this weekend! Over a half dozen Buyers aggressively duked it out for this 1926 City of University City two-story today. My awesome Sellers had incredible contracts to choose from and close escrow in just a few short weeks. Woohoo.🏡✨ Congratulations, Team Melville! What a fun and wild weekend it was.

The ultimate solitude is taking my weekly Coldwell Banker Realty - Gundaker Corporate Centre Teams meeting over quiet early morning chores in the sunshine.

Happy Tuesday, ! ☀️

Just for fun: Willow and I wandered the nature playscape in Forest Park while the native flowers were putting on their annual Spring show. Trails buzzing, skies painted blue, the sunshine doing its thing… and Willow, of course, living her best life.

Just one of those experiences that you wish you could bottle up, keep on the shelf, and pull out on the days that you really need it. Happy Sunday, friends. 💛
