My first book is live: The Conversation: A Story for the Agent , the Jacket Never Fits.

It’s a story about two real estate agents — one seasoned, one just starting out — and the conversations that turn a struggling new agent into a confident one. A quieter, relationship-first way to do this work.

I wrote it for the agent who’s good with people but was told they’d only make it by cold-calling all day and pushing hard. I wore that jacket. It never fit.

Twenty-three years in, I built a career on trust instead — and I wanted to put that on paper.

Hitting publish was harder than I expected. But it’s out there now.

Most people wake up to an alarm clock. I wake up to a 50-ish pound fur missile named Zack—AKA - Sir Pounce a lot—who believes the best way to start the day is by launching himself onto his toys… and occasionally onto me.

So if you see me today looking extra awake, just know it’s because my morning cardio was dodging a flying puppy with the enthusiasm of a caffeinated kangaroo.

On the bright side, living with Sir Pounce a lot means I’m well trained for anything unexpected—whether it’s a surprise appraisal, a last minute showing, or a buyer who suddenly decides they might want a house with a moat.

People ask why I got into real estate.

Honestly? I wanted more time with my family — and less time working weekends, holidays, and the occasional evening shift because of my employment start date. Add in the ‘mandatory two hours of overtime’ that showed up nearly daily, and daycare pickup became a daily race I rarely won.

So I made a change. Real estate gave me the flexibility to build a life that actually fits.
