PSA: Every Bulloch County homeowner has until July 1 to file for homestead exemption. This is a one-time exemption that reduces your property tax for Georgia homeowners . Once you physically go to the Tax Assessors office and file the exemption, you will be granted the exemption, and it will be automatically renewed each year.
If you file after July 1, you will get the deduction the following year. Look up www.bullochtaxassessors.org for more information.
It’s worth the effort.
