45-30 VICTORY last night… Empty again today… Still the best seat in town!

Family Weekend always does this to me — one night the stadium's roaring, the next it's just quiet and green, and somehow both versions of this town get me every time.

If you were here for the game and caught yourself thinking about what it'd be like to stick around a little longer, that's a completely normal thought… I've been having it myself for about ten years now. 💜

25 years ago today, I was a sophomore in Coach Morgan's American History class at Garland High School when a teacher came in and told us a tower had been hit. We sat silent. Then Coach said, "We're going to war."

I didn't understand what that meant at 15. I do now.

343 firefighters climbed stairs everyone else was running down. Ordinary people dug through rubble by hand for days. And a generation raised their hand and went — many never came home.

Today isn't about politics. It's about sitting still for a minute and remembering that the quiet freedom we live in this nation was paid for, and still is.

To the families, the first responders, and every soldier then and now: Thank You. God bless them, and God bless this country. 🇺🇸
