Braun Family Construction has been building homes since 2015. I felt like it was important for those that know us and those that are getting to know us understand exactly who BFC is. My wife and I met when we were 14 years old in the freshman hall of Springtown High School. We were married when we were 19 years old in 1993. After graduating from The University of Texas Arlington in 1998 I started my career as a mechanical engineer. Since then we have lived in several towns and many homes while we built our family. I’ll start with the family that inspired Braun Family Construction. My wife and I have 7 children. As of today they are 21, 19, 18, 15, 8, 7 and 6 years old. My “Big 4” are our biological children and are part of a family unit that knows laughter, support and peace. Our “Little 3” are adopted. Someday I will expand on our adoption adventure, but if you are going to understand what we are about you have to know that our children and their spiritual growth has become a large part of how we define success. The only other thing you need to know about us is the glue that drives our family and ties us together is our faith. We focus on what God would have us do within our family and that is how we run our business.
We built our 1st home in 2002 in Springtown, TX. It was a home for our family and we loved the process, sounds and smells. I learned how to build homes simply by reading 2 books. I mostly learned the order of construction and the vocabulary and dove in. While we did love building I stayed in engineering for the next 13 years. I won awards for my designs, managed projects, worked in manufacturing plants and managed people and products but never had the same passion I had for building homes. Between 2002 and 2015 we built several homes for our family to live in but never intentionally built a home to sell. Finally in 2015 we built our 1st spec home and I decided to take the risk and start my own business as a general contractor. I feel like I have been living a dream ever since.
I will be adding photos of our 1st BFC subdivision that will have homes ready in the Spring of 2020. It is called Arrow Woods. I also look forward to elaborating on the significance of the Arrow in our logo and the name of our 1st subdivision. I’ll save that for next time.
