✨ Thanksgiving 2025 ✨
Today wasn’t about shopping, cooking, or ticking a to-do list.
Today was about heart.
This morning, I took Aydin and Alyaanah to St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church in Third Ward to volunteer with Operation Turkey. It was such a gift watching them roll up their sleeves, sit with other little volunteers, and decorate the food packaging with messages of hope, kindness, and gratitude — small drawings and simple words that I know will land gently in the hands of someone who needs it most.
Then came the real teamwork: helping prepare hundreds of meals that would be delivered across Houston.
No phones, no distractions, just humans serving humans.
As a mum, it was one of those quietly profound moments — seeing my children understand, not through lecture but through experience, how blessed they are… and how powerful it is to give back. I watched empathy take shape right in front of me. I watched gratitude settle into their little hearts. And I saw how community, compassion, and generosity can stitch people together in the most beautiful way.
I left feeling humbled, grateful, and reminded that life’s richest blessings often come from simply showing up for others.
