NH Primary Day is one of those days that reminds us why local government matters so much. The decisions made right here in Hooksett have a real impact on the people who live here, so I think it’s important to show up, listen, and be part of the conversation.

I spent some time at the polls today greeting voters, handing out stickers, and played Door Man as well. But honestly, the best part was getting to talk with people. Some were old friends, some were new faces, and everyone had their own thoughts about what they’d like to see in our community.

I’ve always believed being a good councilor isn’t just about sitting at a meeting and voting. It’s about getting out into the community, talking to people, listening to different perspectives, and understanding what matters to the people you represent.

That’s how you build a stronger community by showing up, getting to know your neighbors, and working together to make Hooksett an even better place to call home. Proud to be part of it!

This Labor Day, I’m taking a moment to appreciate the people who work hard every day to build, support, and strengthen our communities. From the tradespeople and small business owners to teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and everyone working behind the scenes. Your dedication makes a difference!

For me, being in real estate has always been about more than buying and selling homes. It’s about serving the people who live here, helping families find a place to call home, and giving back to the communities I’m fortunate enough to be a part of.

Have you ever thought about how much Route 3 actually matters to Pembroke?

It’s easy to think of Route 3 as simply the road you take to get somewhere else. But when you look at the numbers, it becomes a little more interesting.

At an NHDOT traffic-count location on Pembroke Street, US Route 3 averaged 14,902 vehicles per day in 2024. That’s nearly 15,000 vehicles traveling through this part of town every single day.

And this isn’t just about traffic. Route 3 connects Pembroke with the communities and employment centers around it, making location and accessibility a big part of what makes Pembroke attractive to many buyers.

We’re also seeing transportation investment along the broader Route 3 corridor. New Hampshire’s 2027–2036 Ten-Year Transportation Plan includes more than $1.4 million in current funding for a sidewalk project along US 3 in Merrimack, as well as more than $3.3 million for multimodal, traffic-calming and safety improvements along the US 3 corridor in Manchester.

That doesn’t mean these projects are happening in Pembroke, but it does show that Route 3 continues to be an important regional transportation corridor.

Then there’s the housing side.

Pembroke had 13 closed sales in July 2026, compared with 8 in July 2025. That’s a 62.5% increase in closed sales year over year.

One month doesn't tell us where the market is headed, but it does show that there is plenty happening in Pembroke's housing market.

For buyers, I think the appeal is pretty straightforward.

You can have the more residential, small-town feel of Pembroke while still being connected to Concord, Manchester, and the communities in between.

That combination of location, accessibility, and community is one of the reasons I think Route 3 is worth watching as Pembroke continues to evolve.

Have you ever driven through Bow and thought, “Why does it feel so much quieter here?”

It’s not your imagination.

Bow has a very different development pattern than nearby Concord and Hooksett. While those communities have more concentrated areas of shopping, restaurants, businesses, and larger commercial corridors, much of Bow remains residential.

That matters.

Instead of having major retail areas scattered throughout town, Bow residents often head into Concord for shopping, dining, and many everyday services. That keeps much of the commercial activity outside Bow’s neighborhoods.

Bow also has a more suburban, spread-out feel, with residential neighborhoods, wooded areas, and properties that are generally separated from the busier commercial corridors you find in neighboring communities.

So even when traffic picks up during the morning or afternoon commute, you can still get that feeling that Bow is a little removed from the hustle and bustle.

And for some buyers, that’s exactly the appeal.

You’re close enough to Concord to have convenient access to shopping, restaurants, healthcare, and other services, but you can come home to a community that feels more residential and peaceful.

That balance is one of the reasons Bow continues to stand out to buyers who want convenience without feeling like they live in the middle of everything.

If you’ve been looking at Bedford, I’d encourage you to put Amherst on your list too.

The two towns have a lot in common, but they feel very different. Bedford has a more suburban feel, while Amherst offers more of that quiet New England character with scenic roads, open land, historic homes, and more breathing room.

The July numbers are interesting. Amherst’s median sale price was $694,213, compared with $825,000 in Bedford. That doesn’t mean every home in Amherst is less expensive, but it does show that Amherst can offer a different price point for buyers looking in the same general area.

And despite that price difference, homes are moving quickly. Both Amherst and Bedford had a 5-day median time on market in July. If you find the right home and it’s priced well, you may not have much time to think it over.

Amherst also had 28 new listings in July, up 33.3%, while Bedford had 27, down 25%. For buyers, that means Amherst was seeing more new opportunities come onto the market.

So if you like what Bedford has to offer but want a little more space, privacy, and a quieter setting, Amherst is definitely worth exploring.
