📉 Mortgage Rates Drop Below 6% for the First Time in 3.5 Years!

Big news for buyers heading into the spring market! According to the latest data from Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey®, U.S. weekly mortgage rate averages as of 02/26/2026 show a meaningful shift:

🏡 30-year fixed-rate mortgage:
Now at 5.98%, down from 6.01% last week and 6.76% one year ago.

🏡 15-year fixed-rate mortgage:
Averaging 5.44%, slightly up from 5.35% last week, but still lower than 5.94% a year ago.
