My very own brother became a homeowner today, and I couldn’t be more proud of him!

Just one year ago, Willi made the move to Florida. Before that, it had been 16 years since we lived in the same state. When I moved to Tampa in 2020, if you had told me that I’d end up in real estate and help my brother buy his first home here, I never would have believed you.

Today, not only do we live in the same state again, but he’ll be just around the corner from us in South Tampa.

As his Realtor, I was able to find him a home with one of his biggest must-haves: a large garage (a 3-car garage, to be exact). We also negotiated a deal that secured him an incredible 4.5% permanent interest rate, with a monthly payment that’s right in line with what he’s currently paying in rent.

But as his sister, the best part is knowing he’ll be close by for spontaneous family dinners, holidays, watching Lukas grow up, and all the little moments in between.

Price just dropped $10K today, now offered at $120,000. Currently the lowest-priced 2/2 condo in Clearwater. After spending time in the community, one thing is clear: people who move into Rustlewood tend to stay... for decades. Turnover in here is rare, which says a lot. My buyer hit not one but TWO jackpots at the casino. I am not even kidding.. I could hardly believe it myself.

The very next day, we were talking about buying his first home, because suddenly he had real “house money”.

Of 13 properties I toured with him, this was the very first property I showed my buyer. Not only was I able to find a THREE car garage home in South Tampa - I was also able to negotiate a permanent 4.75% interest rate to keep his monthly payment right where he wanted it. Safe to say, his luck didn’t stop at the casino.

And the good news? You don’t need a jackpot to work with me.

This one * nearly * did me in, guys!

Our first buyer (and their lender + agent) strung us along for TWO entire months. I ultimately made the call to put the home back on the market to protect my clients’ best interest. The good news? We quickly got under contract again without EVER having to drop the price AND our second buyer was able to close 10 days EARLY. We had a pretty big issue at the final walk-though and the buyers were refusing to sign. My creative, quick thinking found a solution that all parties could happily move forward with and both parties made it to closing!

Our first buyer requested extension after extension and 8 weeks later… still couldn’t close. So, to protect my sellers’ best interests, we relisted and just like that, we’re back under contract. Round two, let’s see this one all the way through!
