Have you been looking for a fun Florida day trip that doesn't involve hours behind the wheel? Then let me introduce you to the Brightline.

Brightline connects Orlando and Fort Lauderdale with a comfortable high speed train ride that takes less than three hours. Instead of dealing with traffic on the Turnpike or I-95, you can sit back, relax, enjoy free WiFi, charge your devices, and watch Florida roll by outside your window.

Your adventure starts at the Brightline station at Orlando International Airport. After a quick check in and security process, you're on your way to South Florida. With multiple departures each day, it's easy to plan a same day getaway.

A few hours later, you'll arrive in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The station is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, Las Olas Boulevard, and just a short ride from the beach.

Here's how I would spend the perfect day.

When your day is winding down, hop back on the Brightline and relax on the ride home.

The best part? No traffic. No parking hassles. No stress.

Brightline trains can travel up to 125 miles per hour on portions of the route, making it one of the fastest and easiest ways to travel between Central and South Florida. You can even continue on to Miami if you want to extend your adventure.

After helping buyers through many transactions, I’ve noticed a few common misconceptions that can cost people time, money, and unnecessary stress.

Here are 3 things I wish every buyer knew before starting the home buying process:

1. The Monthly Payment Is More Than Just the Mortgage
Many buyers focus only on the principal and interest payment. In reality, your monthly payment may also include property taxes, homeowners insurance, HOA fees, flood insurance, and possibly CDD fees. Understanding the full payment upfront helps avoid surprises later.

2. The Lowest Price Home Isn't Always the Best Deal
A home priced lower than others may seem like a bargain, but deferred maintenance, an aging roof, HVAC replacement, or major repairs can quickly erase any savings. Looking at the total cost of ownership is just as important as the purchase price.

3. Waiting for the "Perfect Time" Can Cost More
