I have a friend who got involved in a rental the home was asking rent of $2700 per month. But when the dust settled the lease was for $4200 per month! The is just insane!

Great info!

Eager to land a place to live, prospective renters are offering a year's worth of rent up front or hundreds of dollars extra to beat out other renters.
