Fuel prices seem to be changing every time we drive past the station lately. ⛽ How much is a gallon going for in your area today?

There’s something about seeing a pumpjack working that makes you think a little harder when you pull up to the gas pump.

Fuel prices are high again, and I know I’m not the only Montanan wondering how we can have so much energy right here in America and still feel it this hard at the pump.

And it isn’t just the price of filling up your pickup.

Fuel touches everything. Ranchers running equipment. Farmers planting and harvesting. Contractors hauling materials. Truckers moving groceries. Small businesses making deliveries. Families driving to work, school, sports and appointments. And in Montana, where getting from one town to another can easily mean 50 or 100 miles, we feel those increases fast.

There are a lot of pieces that determine what we pay for fuel—crude oil prices, refining capacity, transportation and distribution costs, taxes, seasonal fuel requirements, global supply and demand, and geopolitical events.

But whatever the reason is today, one thing is pretty simple:

When energy gets expensive, Montana gets expensive.

And eventually that cost finds its way into almost everything we buy.

I found the cutest little farm stand outside of Winston, Montana, and you know I had to stop. 😂🌻

This is Bedrock Hill Farm Stand—just a little roadside stand on Quarter Circle filled with locally grown and homemade goodies.

I absolutely love finding places like this.

There’s something pretty great about pulling off a Montana back road, picking out what you want, and supporting the people who actually grew it or made it.

So consider this your reminder: when you see the farm stand sign, STOP. 😂 You never know what you’re going to find.

And if you know of another little roadside stand somewhere in Montana that I need to visit, drop it in the comments. I may need to start a list. 🤎

I’m a sucker for a roadside farm stand. 😂

We spotted the sign for Bedrock Hill Farm Stand, and of course I had to stop.

Nothing fancy. Just a little wooden stand, fresh local goods, an honor system, and somebody putting in the work to grow and make things right here in Montana.

I love this stuff.

I’ll choose a little farm stand on the side of a Montana road over a big store just about any day. And I’m probably not driving past a handwritten FARM STAND sign without at least seeing what they’ve got. 😂

One of the best parts of living in Montana is finding places like this.

Buy local. Support the people doing the work. And always stop at the farm stand. 🤎🌻
