76% of first-time homebuyers say they have at least one regret after purchasing a home.
That statistic stopped me in my tracks.
But when I dug into the research, the regrets weren’t usually, “I bought the wrong house.”
They were things like:
• Feeling rushed to make a decision.
• Stretching the budget because they fell in love with a home.
• Overlooking red flags.
• Buying just to end the stress of house hunting.
The study found that many buyers let emotions take the wheel—even though, looking back, they wished they had approached the process more logically.
Buying a home is emotional. It should be! It’s one of the biggest milestones in life.
But that’s exactly why having an experienced agent matters.
My job isn’t to talk you into buying a house. It’s to help you slow down when everyone else is speeding up, ask the questions you may not think to ask, point out concerns you might overlook, and make sure you’re making a decision you’ll still feel good about years after closing.
The goal isn’t just getting the keys.
It’s getting the right keys.
