POV: Depression is a thief and a liar. She is cruel and relentless and wants nothing more than to keep you stuck. The 9 year old version of yourself knows the truth. Go back and find the one picture of yourself where when you look into those eyes… you’re like “ Yep! That’s it. That’s DEFINITELY her.” Go find a quiet place and visualize that you see that that version of yourself walking towards you at the age you are. Pick that little girl up, hug her really tight, and tell her you love her…..and then LISTEN really close to what she says back…. Because THOSE are the words that will heal you. ❤️
