I spoke with a veteran today. He was living in his car. A Veterans organization put him a hotel room until his housing voucher came through. That was awesome!

The maximum hotel stay for a veteran is 60 days… don’t get me started!!!

Second time in 2 weeks where I was targeted for scams.
I spent an hour on Skype interviewing with an ”Axsome HR Rep”. They even sent an offer letter. Red flags came up when they said what bank do you use? And “I trust you to accept funds to purchase equipment”.
I reached out to Axsome but I have not heard back.

Last week I received a check for residential property services… they wanted me to meet the property manager and give them part of the deposit… red flag!
I called the issuing bank (M&T) before I made the deposit. M&T said the check was good and the funds were available.
I called my bank and they said the check will clear in 2 days.I asked them to call M&T to confirm but I was brushed off.
Both banks failed to provide good information. I failed to push harder to escalate the issue. The check was returned, the M&T account was closed!
