🎓 City University – Week 3! 🌴💙
Another great week of learning more about the community we’re proud to call home— City of Port St. Lucie - City Hall
Did you know Port St. Lucie was incorporated in 1961? From its early beginnings to the vibrant city it is today, there is so much to discover!
🍽️ The Grove Restaurant – Coming in 2027!
The Grove is planned to feature rooftop, waterfront dining, and a tiki bar. We can’t wait to see it come to life!
🌺 Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens
We visited the beautiful Botanical Gardens, which recently received a Best of Florida 2026 award! 🏆 Even more special—the gardens are maintained by dedicated volunteers through the Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens. What an incredible community effort!
🌳 Pioneer Park
We explored Pioneer Park and its unique playground designed specifically with Florida living in mind, along with walking trails and a beautiful boardwalk. And don’t miss the incredible Banyan Tree—perfect for some shade and a great photo opportunity! 📸🌴
🎨 Local Art in the Making
The wall art sculpture at the park’s bathroom is currently being completed by Brenda Leigh, a talented local artist from Stuart, Florida. We love seeing local artists adding their creativity to our community!
🏆 Parks & Recreation Excellence
We learned so much from Bobby Chenier, CPRE, about Port St. Lucie’s Parks & Recreation Department. The department is nationally and state accredited and has been recognized with awards for the past 7 years!
🌴 Did you know? Port St. Lucie has 46 parks!
• 20 Neighborhood Parks
• 8 Community Parks
• 7 Special Use Parks
• 11 Open Space Parks
🚧 And there’s even more to come!
🏁 Tradition Regional Park – coming with a BMX track and sports fields in 2027
🛹 A new skate park is coming to Torino!
Every week of City University gives us another reason to appreciate how much our city has to offer. From beautiful parks and gardens to local artists, recreation, dining, and exciting future projects—we’re proud to be part of Port St. Lucie! 💙🌴
