////////SAFETY ALERT////////
GE Appliances has recalled 132,000 electric and gas ranges in the United States due to Tip-Over Hazard.
All ranges are required to be sold with an anti-tip bracket. Quite often these brackets are not installed and pose a risk for the range to “tip over when a heavy object is placed on an open oven door and the anti-tip-over bracket is not secured to the wall or floor”. Incidents of unattended children climbing on open oven doors causing ovens to tip over and cause injury, have also been reported.
Make sure your range is secured with an anti-tip bracket and if PALMER & WILLIAMS INSPECTION SERVICES can help you with making your home a safer place to live, call us today.
