GE Appliances has recalled 132,000 electric and gas ranges in the United States due to Tip-Over Hazard.

All ranges are required to be sold with an anti-tip bracket. Quite often these brackets are not installed and pose a risk for the range to “tip over when a heavy object is placed on an open oven door and the anti-tip-over bracket is not secured to the wall or floor”. Incidents of unattended children climbing on open oven doors causing ovens to tip over and cause injury, have also been reported.

Wood windows require constant maintenance to prevent moisture damage. Covering the exterior of wood windows with metal trim by an experienced contractor is a cheaper option than replacement windows. Quite often we find moisture damage hidden under metal trim. Moisture damage should be removed and repaired properly before metal trim is installed.
