❗UPDATE: City of Aurora Groundbreaking for Historic Mastodon Lake Dredging and Shoreline Restoration Project Rescheduled To Thursday, August 20

Today's scheduled groundbreaking ceremony for the Mastodon Lake Dredging and Shoreline Restoration Project has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 20 at 10 A.M. due to inclement weather.

The event, hosted in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Illinois State Representative Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, and Semper Fi Land Services Incorporated, will kick off the significant project, which is expected to greatly beautify the Lake and promote additional recreational activity both in the Lake and on Mastodon Island.
