Closings are changing in 2026 and preparation is everything.

The new FinCEN requirements aren’t intended to complicate transactions, but they will affect entity purchases, assignments, and last-minute vesting changes.

The biggest delays don’t happen because of problems.

They happen because of surprises.

The good news?

Most of this can be avoided with early conversations.

If you’re working on a deal where the buyer may purchase in an LLC or trust, let’s look at it sooner rather than later. A 5-minute check can prevent a 5-day delay.
