Our founder was motivated to create First House Financing because she was a raised by a single, middle-class, hard-working Mother who was afraid to inquire about purchasing a home. Her Mother thought she could never afford a home or be approved for a home mortgage loan because she was raising 4 kids alone, her credit wasn’t perfect, and she was barely making it paying rent every month. Our founder’s Mother was afraid to go to the bank and ask questions regarding applying for a home mortgage loan because she was afraid she would be embarrassed, rejected, and disregarded for not having a 20% down payment, perfect credit, or a large monthly income. Her Mother was completely unaware there were down payment assistance and closing cost assistance programs available that could have helped her purchase a home. Our founder immediately knew in her heart she wanted to fill this void in homeownership and never wanted another person to feel the way her Mother felt. Our founder never wants anyone to feel embarrassed, rejected, or disregarded about applying for home mortgage loans due to their credit, income, or lack of down payment.
