As we begin this sacred season of Lent, it’s a time for reflection, sacrifice, and drawing closer to God. ✝️

Lent reminds us that growth often comes through discipline. We abstain from certain comforts, we sacrifice small pleasures, and we refocus our hearts on what truly matters. In many ways, the journey to homeownership is similar.

Buying a home isn’t just a financial decision — it’s an act of faith, patience, and preparation. It requires sacrifice. Maybe it’s cutting back on dining out, delaying a big purchase, or committing to a savings plan. Just as we give something up during Lent, we can also “give up” short-term wants for a long-term blessing: a place to call home.

Homeownership brings stability, generational wealth, and a space to build memories. It’s where families grow, prayers are whispered, and milestones are celebrated. It becomes more than four walls — it becomes a foundation.

National Association of Realtors Rules Explained! 🏠

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has introduced new guidelines designed to make the home buying and selling process more transparent and accessible for everyone. Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the changes:

If you are a buyer and your agent is using an MLS, you will need to sign a written agreement with your agent before touring a home so you understand exactly what services will be provided, and for how much.

Written agreements are required for both in-person and live virtual home tours.

You do not need a written agreement if you are just speaking to an agent at an open house or asking them about their services.

Agent compensation for home buyers and sellers continues to be fully negotiable.
