OffshoreUAS is a proud corporate sponsor of St. Mary's Ryken (SMR) High School UAS build program. OffshoreUAS and SMR Faculty led student aerospace program completed the first build of an Offshore Aviation OA-2E Phoenix for the US Government last month. The flight test of the student built aircraft went off without a hitch paving the way for future builds and formal UAS training as part of the SMR STEM and Aviation programs.

OffshoreUAS who builds commercial and military grade systems for the US Military, is proud of the SMR build team and glad to provide continued support of SMR "Knight Werks". This program is important because it introduces students to UAS engineering and providing opportunities for them to participate in our UAS design and flight testing of US Military grade systems.

Press Release - On Wednesday, OffshorePix's parent company, Offshore Aviation, received TSA approval to operate in the Washington DC FRZ. The lengthy approval process which involved permission from multiple Federal and District agencies will allow the UAV operator the ability to conduct legal commercial UAV photography and videography in the DC metro area. A company spokesman was enthusiastic about the TSA decision stating, "This decision paves the way for professional UAV operators to work with the Federal Government inside the Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ)."
