My favorite quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are the controversial ones. The ones you won't see on a commercial. The ones that stir discomfort. The ones that reminds us that if he were alive today, he would not be a main stream voice or influencer, but someone who was not afraid to be a thorn in the side of injustice. There are so many injustices we can look to today, no matter your gender, race, political affiliation, nationality - so today I hope we all remember that the most impactful people are those who are willing to be on the fringes & misunderstood & villianized for the vision they are holding out in their mind. And I hope we remember this especially when we quietly in our mind separate others from ourselves & cast them into a category of judgment. His message was rebellious, his message was of justice, and most importantly he message was of love & unity. Uniting us all - despite all the seeds of division that the world & powers that be sow - no matter the beliefs and across difficult barriers. That is in and of itself radical, even today in our modern world. My greatest belief and compass is that of love. I love you all.
