🔥 What You Can't See Can Hurt You 🔥
This electrical panel looked functional during normal operation, but thermal imaging told a different story.
While testing the home, our infrared camera identified temperatures exceeding 160°F inside the panel. Further inspection revealed multiple double-tapped breakers and overheating components that warrant immediate evaluation.
⚠️ Excessive heat inside an electrical panel can indicate:
• Loose electrical connections
• Overloaded circuits
• Improper breaker terminations
• Failing breakers
• Potential fire hazards
Most homeowners never remove the panel cover, and these issues often go unnoticed until a breaker fails or a more serious event occurs.
At Inspect NW, thermal imaging is one of the tools we use to help identify hidden defects that may not be visible during a standard visual inspection.
Buying a home? Selling a home? Make sure you know what's happening behind the cover.
