Whether you’re spending the holiday with us in Sandbridge or you’re one of our local friends, here’s a quick guide to help you enjoy the day!

🎆 Fireworks – 9:30 PM
• Virginia Beach Oceanfront: Fireworks launch from a barge near 24th Street, with live entertainment beginning around 7:00 PM at 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks.
• Mount Trashmore: Free family event featuring food vendors, live music, activities, and a fireworks show at 9:30 PM. Festivities begin at 5:00 PM.

🚗 Traffic & Parking Tips
• Leave early! Expect heavy traffic throughout the afternoon and evening, especially traveling between Sandbridge and the Oceanfront.
• Oceanfront traffic will be extremely congested before and after the fireworks. Consider using Shore Drive or Laskin Road if you’re traveling from Sandbridge.
• Mount Trashmore parking is $20 (cash only) and fills up quickly, so arrive early.

🏖️ For Our Sandbridge Guests
• If you’re planning to visit the Oceanfront, allow plenty of extra travel time. Traffic returning to Sandbridge after the fireworks can take significantly longer than normal.
• Pack plenty of water, sunscreen, chairs, and bug spray if you’ll be out for the evening.
• Be patient and drive safely—it’s one of the busiest days of the year in Virginia Beach.

🎇 Fireworks Safety Reminder
Personal fireworks are illegal in Virginia Beach, including on the beach. Please enjoy one of the city’s professional fireworks displays instead.
