I’ve been watching the numbers closely. It’s a relief to see the mortgage market find its rhythm finally. As we head into March 2026, 30-year fixed rates are holding steady around 5.75%. While they haven't dropped as fast as some predicted, this consistency is exactly what you need to plan your next chapter without the stress of constant fluctuations. 📈

Out here in Hampton Roads, I’m seeing a real shift on the ground. Whether I’m near the ocean in Virginia Beach or visiting new communities in Chesapeake, things feel different. We have over 4,400 homes on the market right now, the most I’ve seen in two years, which means you finally have the space to breathe. 🏠

The days when I’d have to tell you to make an offer before we even finished the tour are behind us. We’re back to a "value-focused" market where we can take the time to compare sales and make sure a home is truly right for you. From finding room to grow in Suffolk to scouting out the best deals in Hampton, you now have the rare combination of predictable rates and actual choices.

Please be aware that the new conflict in Iran may hurt interest rates. Higher gas prices affect the cost of goods, which could increase prices beyond the cost of gas. In other words, NOW is a GREAT time to buy! There is an increased number of homes to choose from, and a much nicer interest rate to lock into.
