Ever wondered what it would be like to lift an apartment building? Texas touts itself as a strong state... but it’s got soft soil! This is one of many foundation lifts Acumen has done across that state of Texas. On this particular project, we managed the installation of over 150 pressed pilings on 6 buildings. The building you see here received 30 exterior pilings to correct a 2.5” deflection on the right side of the building. The building remained occupied through all phases of work. Foundation lifts correct masonry cracks, fix plumbing issues, and fix doors and windows that don’t function properly. But most importantly, they stop the buildings from falling again, permanently!
